The Cornmill Stream.
Fishers Green Consortium - included in our annual membership.
The stream is an artificial watercourse which may have been built to serve the mills in Waltham Abbey as mentioned in the Domesday Book. A short stretch at the top end of the stream is available to members. Stocks are relatively unknown, but there's a good mix of fish which get caught using standard tactics. Unfortunately, there's no night fishing. Close season on this venue is in force.
Please note: To fish this venue, you will need your membership card and a valid fishing rod licence for the quantity of rods you will be using. There are one, two and three rod licences available. Please visit our LINKS page, here you will find a link direct to the Government website. Licences are also available from Royal Mail post offices.

Further information:
Around 200 yards from its start at the end of Fishers Green Lane, fairly overgrown but ideal for a short rod and a small bomb or float for the roving angler. No large specimens recorded but fun for those that like this type of angling - roach, chub and dace with the odd barbel.
The fishing times permitted are the same as the main River Lea.
The stream is open 16th June till 14th March inclusive.
